Family-run from Underhill, Vermont. Fifteen years sourcing premium trailers from established North American manufacturers — local pickup welcome, free shipping included on every trailer to all 50 US states.
Prime Load Trailers is run by Eric out of Underhill, Vermont — a town of about 3,000 people in the foothills of Mount Mansfield. Every trailer that goes out on a customer hitch passes through our lot first. We don’t drop-ship from a warehouse we’ve never seen, and we don’t list trailers we can’t get in front of.
The business has spent fifteen years building relationships with manufacturers across the Northeast and beyond. Premier in Vermont, BWise in Pennsylvania, Cam Superline in Pennsylvania, Mission Trailers in Maine, N&N Trailers in Pennsylvania — manufacturers we’ve worked with long enough to know which builds hold up and which corners they don’t cut.
That’s why a customer in Texas, Florida, or California can buy from a small family operation in Underhill. The relationships are real, the inventory is real, and the price you see is the price you pay — free shipping included.
Vermont winters and Northeast roads put trailers through cycles that most parts of the country don’t see. Salt brine on every road from November through April. Frost heaves in the spring that flex frames and stress welds. Mountain grades that work brakes harder than flat highway running. The trailers we put on our lot have to handle that, because most of them get used right here before they ever leave.
That gives us an unfiltered read on which manufacturers cut corners and which don’t. Premier — built right here in Vermont — pours powder-coat that holds up to road salt year after year. BWise frames in steel thick enough that frost-heave flexing doesn’t crack welds. Cam Superline pulls heavy commercial loads through New England winters without spider-webbing the deck. Mission Trailers builds aluminum that doesn’t pit in the salt belt.
If a brand can survive on Vermont customers’ hitches for a decade, it’ll survive anywhere. That’s the bar we use when we add a manufacturer to the lot.
If you’re within driving range of Underhill, Vermont, you’re welcome to pick up your trailer in person. Local pickup gives you a chance to see the unit before money changes hands — walk around it, check the hitch fit on your tow vehicle, ask Eric questions face to face.
How it works: Call ahead to schedule (we’re a small team, so a heads-up helps). Bring your tow vehicle with the right hitch and ball, plates if you want to title-and-go, and your payment method (BACS bank transfer or wire). We’ll have the trailer ready, walk through it together, hitch up, and you’re on your way.
