PrimeLoad Trailers provides limited warranty coverage on every eligible trailer we sell. Warranty terms vary by manufacturer and by whether the trailer is new or used. Specific warranty details for your trailer are provided at the time of sale.
Warranty coverage period
Warranty coverage typically ranges from one (1) to two (2) years on new trailers, depending on the manufacturer and trailer type. Used trailers may carry limited warranty coverage or no warranty depending on condition and the original manufacturer’s terms.
The exact warranty length and terms for the trailer you are buying are provided in writing at the time of purchase.
What is covered
The limited warranty covers manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship, under normal use and proper maintenance. Coverage generally applies to:
- Structural frame defects
- Weld failures attributable to manufacturing
- Axle components, where the defect is a manufacturer defect
- Factory-installed electrical wiring
- Factory-installed components
Coverage applies only to defects arising from normal, intended use of the trailer.
What is not covered
The warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Tires, brake pads, bearings, or other consumable components
- Cosmetic damage
- Rust resulting from environmental exposure or misuse
- Improper towing setup
- Overloading beyond rated capacity (exceeding GVWR)
- Negligence, accidents, or misuse
- Unauthorized modifications or alterations
- Damage occurring after delivery
Improper use or failure to follow safe towing practices voids warranty coverage.
Warranty terms by component
All new trailers we sell are backed by the original manufacturer’s limited warranty. Warranty terms are tiered by trailer component, with the following typical coverage windows:
- Structural warranty (frame, rails, tongue, cross-members): 3 to 5 years from the date of purchase, depending on the manufacturer.
- General workmanship warranty: 1 year from the date of purchase.
- Paint and finish warranty: 90 days from the date of purchase.
- Components (tires, axles, brakes, lights, suspension, couplers, jacks, batteries): warranted separately by their respective component manufacturers, on those manufacturers’ own warranty terms.
Used trailers are sold “as is, where is” without warranty, unless explicit warranty terms are stated in writing on the bill of sale at the time of purchase.
Warranty registration: manufacturers typically require warranty registration within 30 days of purchase. We provide registration paperwork at delivery; it is your responsibility to complete and return registration to the manufacturer within the required window.

Filing a warranty claim
Contact PrimeLoad Trailers within 5 days of discovering any defect by emailing sales@primeloadtrailers.com or calling (360) 225-6789. Provide the following with your claim:
- Order or invoice number
- A clear description of the issue
- Supporting photos and any relevant documentation
- The date the defect was discovered
We may require inspection of the trailer before approving warranty service. Report any potential warranty defect promptly after discovery and within the applicable warranty period above.
Warranty service
Warranty resolution is handled case-by-case and may include:
- Providing replacement parts
- Authorizing repair at an approved service location
- Requiring the trailer to be brought to a designated service facility
Approved warranty repairs may include parts and reasonable labor as determined under the manufacturer’s warranty guidelines.
Non-transferable warranty
Warranty coverage applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable to subsequent owners.
Limitation of liability
Warranty coverage is limited to the repair or replacement of defective parts, as determined by PrimeLoad Trailers and the applicable manufacturer’s warranty guidelines. Liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the trailer.
